Estate is the largest size the Madison Oval comes in, and the Madison Oval one-line estate plaque is the version with a single big line of text. The red oval with gold numerals in the photo shows how it’s usually used: a house number, large enough to read from the road on a long driveway. It stands in the lawn on its own post.
Numbers or letters on the Madison Oval one-line estate plaque
The single line can hold up to five numbers at 4.5 inches tall, or up to 17 characters at 2 inches. So you can use it for a tall house number, or you can switch to the smaller letter height and spell out a family name or a street. You pick one or the other, not both. Whatever you choose is cast into the aluminum as raised text.
Colors and coating
Every Madison Oval one-line estate plaque is cast in the USA from recycled aluminum, then finished with an all-weather protective coating that carries a five-year warranty. Eleven color combinations are available: Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Black/Gold, Black/Silver, Black/White, Bronze/Gold, Green/Gold, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Pewter/Silver, Red/Gold and White/Gold. Aluminum doesn’t rust, so there’s no staining on the ground below it.
Estate versus standard
If the house is close to the street, the standard Madison Oval is probably enough. The estate size earns its place when the sign is a long way from where people need to read it. Either way, the Madison Oval one-line estate plaque is cast to your text, so check it twice. Personalized orders can’t be modified, cancelled or returned once placed.
The two-line estate version adds a street line under the number. For other large-format yard signs, browse the lawn address plaques, and for an overview of every style, see all address and home signs.
