Precision Tooled Plaques offer the traditional look of cast plaques, but allows for slightly better detail and crisp straight edges. This method is really good for plaques that have a lot of close lettering. Traditional cast plaques all have slightly angled edges and that can sometimes make the letters look a bit fat and often touch the edges of other letters when the font size is real small and there is a lot of lettering.
Precision Tooled Plaques start with a solid piece of metal, such as bronze, brass, or aluminum. Because there is no casting involved, we can start with a particular thickness of plaque and can go much thinner than traditional plaques. Because of this, these types of plaques are great for park benches, where you don’t want a very thick plaque mounted. These thinner plaques can also be much lighter too.
Precision Tooled Plaques are also a good option when you have a logo that is mostly adequate for casting, but a few smaller areas are not possible. In some cases, tooled plaques can create the logo with more detail.
