Dog owners who want the memorial to say “he’s looked after” pick this one. The Guardian Angel dog memorial plaque is a dog silhouette with angel wings behind it, cast as one piece, and the name and years sit on the body. The one in the photo is for Max, 2008 to 2014, in a bronze finish. Of the two winged markers in the pet line, this is the dog.
Six colors and a five-year warranty
You can have the Guardian Angel dog memorial plaque in Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Black/Gold, Bronze/Gold, Green/Gold, or Oil Rubbed Bronze. It’s recycled aluminum, cast in the USA, so it won’t rust where it sits. The all-weather coating over the casting is covered for five years. Oil Rubbed Bronze is the darkest and most understated of the six.
What fits on the two lines
Line 1 takes up to 8 characters and line 2 up to 9, both at 1.25 inches. That’s room for “Max” with space left, or “Buddy” or “Daisy” on line 1, then “2008-2014” on line 2. Count spaces. If the name is longer than 8, see if the nickname you actually used fits; it usually does. The letters are cast in with the wings, not stamped or painted on after.
Using the Guardian Angel dog memorial plaque
Most buyers set it in a garden bed or next to a tree where the dog is buried. It also does fine on a wall by the back door. If the piece gets dusty under a bird feeder, a rinse and a soft cloth are enough. Our plaque care page explains what to avoid.
The Pet Collection also has this same dog without wings, the arched Dog Paw mini, and the cat version of the angel. Before ordering your Guardian Angel dog memorial plaque, confirm the spelling and the years. The lettering is cast in, so personalized pieces can’t be changed or returned.
