Hunters, birders and anyone with a pond buy the Duck Accent weathervane. It’s a duck in silhouette set over a directional arrow with the four points marked for north, south, east and west. The 30 inch size is the larger accent size, so it suits a house roof, a barn or a camp on the lake rather than a small shed.

Cast from recycled aluminum

This Duck Accent weathervane is cast in the USA from recycled aluminum, and aluminum will not rust. That’s the reason to choose it over steel for anything that sits on a roof near water. The casting gets an all-weather protective coating, and the piece is sold with a five-year warranty.

The Duck Accent weathervane is Black

Black is the single finish available. For a duck that’s what you’d want, because the bird reads by outline. A dark shape against a gray sky is unmistakably a duck, and a glossy or light finish would lose the profile. It also matches the black most people already have on their roof vents and chimney caps.

Reading the wind

The arrow swings into the wind, so from the porch you can see which way the weather is coming without checking a phone. Duck hunters tend to appreciate that more than most. On a camp or lake house the Duck Accent weathervane sits naturally, and it looks just as right on a barn in farm country.

There’s no lettering on this piece, so there’s nothing to proof. The other bird figures, including the Pheasant and both eagles, are on our weathervanes page. If you’d like ducks at ground level too, the cast bird baths come from the same casting process.
