Upland bird hunters know the Pheasant Accent weathervane on sight. It’s a pheasant in silhouette, set above an arrow with the directionals marked for north, south, east and west. The 30 inch size is meant for a house, a barn or a hunting camp, and it’s a favorite gift for someone who runs a bird dog.
What it’s cast from
The Pheasant Accent weathervane is cast in the USA from recycled aluminum, so it will not rust. The bird, the arrow and the letters are all cast parts. An all-weather protective coating covers the finished piece, and a five-year warranty backs it.
Black finish only on the Pheasant Accent weathervane
Black is the one color offered, and a pheasant is a bird you recognize by outline anyway. The long tail is the giveaway, and a solid dark finish keeps it crisp against the sky. A multi-color pheasant would be busy from the ground. If you want a two-tone bird, the Full-Bodied Eagle is the one in the line that gets it.
Camp, barn or house
The 30 inch size reads from the road, so it works on a main roof as well as on a barn or garage. Hunting camps in the North Country are a natural home for it, and so is a garage in a subdivision owned by someone who’d rather be at one. Because the arrow turns into the wind, you’ll know before you step outside which way the birds will be holding.
A Pheasant Accent weathervane has nothing to personalize, so there’s no proof to approve. The Duck and the two eagles are on our weathervanes page with the rest of the figures. If you’d rather feed the birds than point at them, the cast bird feeders share the same finish.
