Of the two 30 inch sailboats we carry, the 30 inch Sailboat weathervane is the one you can get in color. It’s a sailboat above a directional arrow with north, south, east and west marked, and it’s offered in Black or Multi-Color. People who want the sail to look like a sail, not a shadow, pick this one.
Black or Multi-Color on the 30 inch Sailboat weathervane
Black gives you the traditional silhouette, which reads cleanly from the road and matches other rooftop hardware. Multi-Color picks out the boat in more than one tone, so the hull and the sail stand apart from each other. If the roof is close to the street or the dock, the color version is worth it. If it’s a distant gable, Black reads just as well.
Recycled aluminum and a coated finish
Both versions of the 30 inch Sailboat weathervane are cast in the USA from recycled aluminum, and aluminum will not rust. That’s the right material for a figure that lives in salt air or lake spray. An all-weather protective coating goes over either finish, and a five-year warranty covers the piece.
Sailboat versus Sailboat Accent
The names are close, so here’s the difference. The 30 inch Sailboat Accent weathervane comes in Black only. The 30 inch Sailboat weathervane is the one with the Multi-Color option. Both are the same size and both sit above the same style of arrow, so choose by finish.
No lettering means no proof step; pick a finish and order. The Lighthouse and the Schooner also come in Multi-Color, and all the ships are on our weathervanes page. If you’d like a garden piece in the same material, the cast sundials are a good match.
