Three lines of text is unusual on a lawn sign, and it’s what sets the Coquille Grande 3-line plaque apart from the rest of the Signature Collection. Line 1 holds up to five characters at 3 inches, usually the house number. Lines 2 and 3 each hold up to 12 characters at 1.25 inches. That’s enough for a street name and a family name, or a street and a short greeting.
Ideas for the three lines
The common layout is number, street, surname. Some buyers use the third line for the name of the property, a cottage or a camp, for example. Others put the house number on line 1 and split a long street name across lines 2 and 3. Because each lower line is capped at 12 characters, write out your text first and count before you order.
Coquille Grande 3-line plaque materials
Like the rest of the collection, the Coquille Grande 3-line plaque is cast in the USA from recycled aluminum. It won’t rust, and it gets an all-weather protective coating that is warranted for five years. All three lines are cast into the aluminum as part of the sign. That means they can’t peel, but it also means they can’t be edited after casting. Personalized orders can’t be changed, cancelled, or returned once placed, so proofread every line.
Finish options
Pick from Forged Copper, Black/Gold, Bronze Verdigris, or Bronze/Gold. The photo shows a bronze finish reading 1926 Briarwood Place, with its decorative elements. Black/Gold will be the most legible from the street. The others trade a bit of contrast for a warmer look.
If three lines is more than you need, the Arbor and Federal designs in the Signature Collection come in one- and two-line versions. For the full set of staked styles, see the lawn address plaques. The Coquille Grande 3-line plaque is the one to choose when you have more to say than a number.
