Houses on corner lots and shared drives get found faster when the sign says which street it belongs to. The Double Line standard two line plaque does that. Its top line takes up to five characters at 3 inches, and its second line takes up to 12 characters at 1.25 inches. It’s the same plain rectangle as the one-line Double Line, with the space divided differently.
What fits on 12 characters
Twelve characters covers most street names, especially if you drop the suffix. Brier Court, as in the photo, fits easily. Longer names may need abbreviating, so write yours out and count before you order a Double Line standard two line plaque. The top line is almost always the house number. But it takes letters too, if your address has a unit or lot letter in it.
Double Line standard two line plaque colors
The color list runs to eleven: Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Black/Gold, Black/Silver, Black/White, Bronze/Gold, Green/Gold, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Pewter/Silver, Red/Gold, and White/Gold. The one pictured is Red/Gold, which is a cheerful choice in front of a white or gray house. If you’d prefer something that fades into the landscaping, Green/Gold or Bronze/Gold does that.
Made to last outdoors
The sign is cast in the USA from recycled aluminum, so rust is not something you’ll deal with. An all-weather protective coating is applied over the casting and carries a five-year warranty. Both lines of text are cast into the metal. Once the order goes in, a Double Line standard two line plaque can’t be changed, cancelled, or returned, so proofread both lines first.
If you’d rather have one big number and nothing else, the one-line standard Double Line takes 4.5-inch numerals. The full set of staked signs is under lawn address plaques, and if you’d like the address on the house instead, start with the wall-mounted address plaques.
