Arched at the top and plain everywhere else, the Federal Extra Grande 1-line plaque is the most traditional-looking sign in the Signature Collection. It holds up to five characters at 5.5 inches on a single line. That height is the same as the Arbor Extra Grande, so the two differ in shape rather than reading distance. Buyers with a colonial or federal-style house tend to go this way.
The arch
You can see the arched design in the photo, with the number 3146 in gold on a dark background. The curve echoes the fanlights and arched doorways found on older New England homes. It also gives the sign a clear top and bottom. So it reads as a finished piece, not a plate with numbers on it.
Casting and coating on the Federal Extra Grande 1-line plaque
Like every address sign here, it’s cast in the USA from recycled aluminum, which won’t rust. The casting is then protected with an all-weather coating that carries a five-year warranty. The number is part of the casting, so it isn’t an applied layer that can lift.
Colors
Four finishes are offered on the Federal Extra Grande 1-line plaque: Forged Copper, Black/Gold, Bronze Verdigris, and Bronze/Gold. A gold-on-dark finish like the one in the photo is the sharpest from a distance. The other three are warmer. Any of them pairs well with the arch, so choose by what sits behind the sign.
If you need a second line for the street, the Federal Extra Grande 2-line plaque keeps the arch and adds a 14-character line below the number. The rest of the collection is listed under Signature Collection, and every staked style on the site is under lawn address plaques. Check the number before you order. A Federal Extra Grande 1-line plaque is cast to order, so it can’t be changed, cancelled, or returned.
