Not every piece in the pet line is a memorial. The Hanging Bone personalized crate plaque is for a dog who’s very much around: a bone-shaped sign with the dog’s name cast in, meant to hang on a crate, a kennel gate, or the door to wherever the bed is. The photo reads “Misty’s Room” in white letters on a tan background. It’s a gift people buy for a new puppy, or for a friend who just adopted.
Sixteen characters on one line
You get a single line of up to 16 characters at 1.25 inches, and spaces and apostrophes count. “Misty’s Room” is 12. “Rufus Sleeps Here” is 17 and won’t fit, but “Rufus Sleeps” will. Two dogs can share a bone if their names are short, as in “Max and Molly”. Write it out and count before you order.
Eleven colors on the Hanging Bone personalized crate plaque
This is the most colorful piece in the collection. Along with the usual Antique Copper, Black/Gold, Black/White, Bronze Verdigris, Bronze/Gold, Pewter/Silver, Weathered Limestone/Dark Bronze and White/Gold, it comes in Purple/White, Curry/White, and Stucco/Magenta. The bright ones suit a kid’s room, and the metallics suit a mudroom or a wooden kennel.
Built like the outdoor pieces
Even though most of these hang indoors, the Hanging Bone personalized crate plaque is the same recycled aluminum, cast in the USA, with the same all-weather coating and five-year warranty as the lawn markers. So it can go on an outdoor kennel or a fence without rusting. The lettering is raised and cast in, not printed, so the name won’t peel or wear off.
If you later want a memorial for the same dog, the silhouettes and arched markers in the Pet Collection take a name and years. For a sign with your own house number, the wall-mounted address plaques are cast the same way. Double-check the spelling on your Hanging Bone personalized crate plaque before ordering; personalized castings can’t be changed or returned.
