On a corner lot or a road with similar-sounding streets, the street name on the sign saves visitors a wrong turn. The Leroux Grande 2-line yard plaque puts the house number on a 3-inch top line and the street on an 18-character second line, framed by the Leroux scrollwork. It’s the mid-size two-line sign in the Signature Collection.
Line limits on the Leroux Grande 2-line yard plaque
Line one takes up to five characters at 3 inches. Line two takes up to 18 characters at 1.25 inches, so ASHTON COURT fits with room left over. Spaces count as characters, so tally them when you plan the text. If the street name runs long, abbreviating Court to Ct buys back room. Both lines are raised and cast as part of the plaque.
Finish and durability
Every Leroux Grande 2-line yard plaque is cast from recycled aluminum in the USA, which means no rust and no flaking paint under the coating. An all-weather protective finish covers the whole piece and is warranted for five years. Choose from Forged Copper, Black/Gold, Bronze Verdigris or Bronze/Gold. The Bronze/Gold version photographed here is the classic pairing; Black/Gold is a little sharper from a distance.
Where it works best
Because the numbers are 3 inches rather than the 5.5 of the Extra Grande, this Leroux Grande 2-line yard plaque is best where the sign sits within a normal front-yard distance of the road. For a deep setback, consider the Extra Grande instead. And since the lettering is permanent, proofread carefully: personalized orders can’t be modified, cancelled or returned after you place them.
Other two-line options in the same family are in the Signature Collection. For a sign that mounts on the house, the wall-mounted address plaques are the place to look.
