Pet markers usually put the name in the same small type as the dates. The My Pal dog memorial plaque doesn’t. Its first line is cast at 2 inches tall, so the name is what you see from across the yard, and the dates sit under it in smaller letters next to a paw print. The photo shows a black one for Hunter, 2002 to 2016.
A 2-inch name line
Line 1 holds up to 8 characters at 2 inches. Line 2 holds up to 11 characters at 1.25 inches. The name goes big on top and the years go below, with room for “2002 – 2016” including the spaces. If the name runs past 8, use the short form. “Hunter” fits; “Huckleberry” doesn’t, but “Huck” does. Everything is cast in, so the letters are raised and permanent.
Fourteen finishes for the My Pal dog memorial plaque
The list is long: Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Black/Gold, Black/Silver, Black/White, Bronze Verdigris, Bronze/Gold, Curry/White, Green/Gold, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Pewter/Silver, Weathered Limestone/Dark Bronze, White/Black, and White/Gold. Black/White or Black/Silver reads best at a distance. Weathered Limestone/Dark Bronze looks like a small stone marker, which some people want.
What it’s made of
Recycled aluminum, cast in the USA. It won’t rust in wet grass, and the all-weather coating over it carries a five-year warranty. If it gets grimy, see the plaque cleaning page for what’s safe to use. The My Pal dog memorial plaque needs nothing more than that.
The same layout comes as the Our Kitty version for cats and a Retriever version with the dog’s outline, all in the Pet Collection. Before you order, check the 8 and 11 characters on your My Pal dog memorial plaque for spelling. It’s cast, so personalized pieces can’t be changed or returned.
