Instead of putting a shamrock on a plaque, this one is the shamrock. The Shamrock address plaque is cast in the outline of the three-leaf clover, with the text running across the leaves. It’s a cheerful piece, and it tends to go on a porch wall, a garden gate or a shed rather than out by the road.
What you can put on it
Two personalized lines at 1.25 inches. Line 1 holds up to 10 characters and line 2 holds up to 12. The one in our photo reads “Failte” with “O’Connor” and “EST. 2017” below, so a greeting, a surname and a year all fit if you plan them. A house number and street name work just as well.
Because line 1 is the shorter of the two, put the longer entry on the second line. Count spaces and apostrophes as characters.
Finishes for the Shamrock address plaque
Green/Gold is the finish nearly everyone picks for this piece, and it’s the one we photograph. But it also comes in Antique Copper, Black/Gold and Bronze/Gold if you want the shape without the bright green. Gold lettering is standard across all four.
Casting and durability
Every Shamrock address plaque is cast in the USA from recycled aluminum, so it will not rust. The five-year warranty applies to the all-weather coating. The letters on a Shamrock address plaque are part of the casting rather than applied, so they won’t lift or fade. Cleaning is a rinse and a wipe.
If you’d like the shamrock theme on a conventional rectangular sign, the Irish Collection has knotwork and Claddagh plaques that take a 3-inch house number. Our personalized plaques page lists every design that carries a family name. Please check spelling and the year before ordering, since personalized castings can’t be changed or returned.
