Not every memorial belongs in a cemetery. The Wilmington memorial lawn plaque is for the garden at home, the spot by the pond, or the tree your father planted. It carries “In Memory Of” in the casting, with two lines for the name and the years, in the Wilmington’s decorative lettering style.

Lines and letter height

You can enter up to 17 characters on the first line and up to 14 on the second. Letters on both lines are 1.5 inches tall. The example in the photo reads “In Memory of Patrick Zanitsch 1963 – 2023,” which gives you a feel for the spacing. The text is cast into the aluminum and can’t wear off.

Made to sit outside

The Wilmington memorial lawn plaque is cast in the USA from recycled aluminum. It will not rust, so it can stay out through snow, rain, and sprinklers. The all-weather coating is covered by a five-year warranty. Choose from Antique Copper, Black/Gold, Green/Gold, Dark Bronze/Gold, or Pewter/Silver to suit the setting.

Why we ask you to proofread the Wilmington memorial lawn plaque

A personalized order can’t be changed, cancelled, or returned once it’s placed, because every piece is cast to the text submitted. So take your time with the spelling and the dates. If the dates aren’t certain, confirm them before you order rather than after. It also helps to type the name in capitals on a sheet of paper and look at it fresh the next morning.

Should you want the same design for a wall, the Wilmington memorial lawn plaque has a wall-mounted version. If you’re building out a memorial garden, our Garden Collection has other cast pieces that sit well beside it. For a tribute in solid bronze, our memorial bronze plaques are the next level up.
